number puzzles online. The teacher creates and prints the
puzzles. There is also an option for teachers to save their
puzzles online. Students can use the site to create
vocabulary, spelling, or math puzzles of their own. Great
Discovery School - This is another great home/school site.
They post a Brain Booster each day that is very good.

This is a great site for getting information about US
states and territories. Students can download pictures of
flags, birds, flowers, and listen to individual state songs.
Facts concerning statehood, population, etc. are given as
well. Great for Social Studies projects!
This website from Enchanted Learning Software is great to use
for researching animals. (I used it extensively when creating
my webquest!) It also has a ³Zoom School² link that has
Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts activities. It
includes a picture dictionary and preschool activities.
This site from the National
Geographic people is updated regularly with good information
for kids. The GeoBee Challenge is a game that allows students
to answer geography questions. At the end they are told which
questions they missed and they can go back and keep trying
until they get the right answers. The Amazing Facts section
is always filled with far-out facts that kids love! Browse
through the site. I know youıll find things your kids can do!
Time for Kids is a current events website that kids can easily
use and understand. They will be able to learn more about
what is happening in the world on a daily basis. Students are
also given an opportunity to send in their comments about what

"President for a Day" link has been really interesting lately!

fabulous with younger children!

subject matter. Webquests are fun for kids to do. Check some

Ask Eric is a Teacher site good for finding lesson plans of
different types. Teachers can also submit interesting lesson

This is the Troll Book website. It has Educator, Parent and
Kids links. You can order online. Parents can get tips and
find activities that promote reading with their children. The
Kids page has links for games and activities. The best thing
on their site is the ³Meet the Author² section.
This is the Learning Company (the software people) - another
Teacher site. You can subscribe to the Classroom Flyer which
is an electronic newsletter that is super! I get it everyday,
but you have the option for a weekly edition. The site has
web links, lesson plans, features, and tips & tricks. An
excellent resource for teachers to use to help find websites
Scholastic Book website - similar to Troll with Teacher,
Parent, and Kid links. It also has games and activities for
students to do. An author link is also available on this

game room, use the homework helper, and create math
worksheets. It has interactive addition and multiplication
tables that allow students to type in the numbers they would
like to add or multiply and it shows them how to find the
answer on the table. The games are also fun to play.
Another good site with a hodgepodge of stuff! Easy to
find what youıre looking for, though. Good stuff for
students, teachers, and parents.
